Since January, 2004, the Forest Research Centre of the Sabah
Forestry Department has been recognised by the Federal
Ministry of Finance as an Approved Research Institution
under Section 34B of the Income Tax Act 1967. With this
recognition, financial contribution made by companies to the
Forest Research Centre for implementing research projects
and using its services is eligible for double tax deduction.
